The single biggest benefit athletes pursue by consuming Citrulline Malate is its effectiveness as a vasodilator and nitric oxide-boosting agent. This occurs by way of a significant rise in plasma L-Arginine levels. Simultaneously, the vasodilation causes the blood vessels to widen, improving blood flow and vascularity without increasing blood pressure. This mechanism translates to muscles that work harder for longer and repair faster.

At the correct dose, Citrulline Malate reduces post-workout muscle soreness. This reduces the downtime between workouts and allows an athlete to get back to training a target muscle group sooner. The net result is therefore more workouts over a period of time without the risk of overtraining. Citrulline Malate also has a positive effect on Nitric oxide and blood flow, resulting in strength and muscle pump gains.
